OUR PROJECTS

Painting & decorating.
Before & after.

Real painting and decorating projects, from the starting point and preparation to the finish. Explore cabinetry, kitchens and bedrooms, then speak to Lou in Cambridgeshire or Abby in Bedfordshire about your own space.

01 / BUILT-IN CABINETRY

A beautifully
bolder finish.

The same cabinets and shelves, with a different character. Blue-grey paint ties the built-in furniture and chimney breast together, with pale walls keeping the room light. The cupboard doors, open shelves and fireplace surround become one focal point. Use the comparison to see the change across the existing furniture, rather than a replacement of the units.

THE DETAIL

THE FEELING

A stronger focal point, with a calm backdrop

02 / ROOM TRANSFORMATION

Room to breathe.

A bright, open-plan kitchen with attention paid to the ceiling above it. The preparation photograph shows fittings protected and ceiling areas being made good; the finished room brings the clean surfaces and lighting back into focus. Keeping the preparation photograph alongside the result shows the work above the room as well as its overall appearance. If you have ceiling damage, send close-ups as well as a wide photograph when asking about decorating.

THE RESULT

03 / ROOM TRANSFORMATION

A new shade.
A new mood.

A pink guest room takes on a more contemporary feel with a deep teal feature wall. Little Greene Canton creates the focal point, alongside a light ceiling and white woodwork. The stronger wall colour changes the mood of the room while the lighter surrounding finishes keep the space balanced. The finish details below show the products used on this project; your own choices can be discussed around your room and existing furnishings.

04 / ROOM TRANSFORMATION

Care before
the colour.

This main bedroom started with a ceiling that needed substantial attention. Preparation came first, followed by soft wall colour, a feature wallpaper and crisp white woodwork. The before photograph records the ceiling problem; the finished photograph focuses on the decorated walls and wallpaper. Together they show two parts of the job, rather than a matching camera angle. Tell us about peeling paint or uneven surfaces when you enquire, so the preparation can be considered alongside your colour choices.
